Fr. Donald Kinney, OCD
Fr. Donald Kinney, O.C.D., was born and grew up in Georgia in a Methodist family. God brought him to Catholicism when he was 30 years old. It was a Secular Order Carmelite who was the first person to welcome him in the parish where he came into the Church. Later she gave him a copy of St. Therese's Story of a Soul, which was the inspiration for him to enter the Western Province of Discalced Carmelites in 1980.
Since his ordination in 1988, most of his ministry has been in formation. After seven years in Mt. Angel, he is again Master of Novices and Students in San Jose.
He has been Spiritual Assistant to several Secular Order communities, currently to the Santa Clara community.
